Zippro School Management System
Full admin dashboard redesign, from a cluttered legacy UI to a system school staff can actually run a term on
Zippro is a school management system used by administrators, teachers, and staff. I led a full redesign of the admin dashboard, restructuring a noisy interface into a clear information architecture built around the school term.

Before, a dashboard that fought its users
The existing admin experience buried school operations under redundant menus, inconsistent components, and weak visual hierarchy. Attendance, classes, exams, reports and messaging each took too many clicks and too much recall.
The goal
Restructure the product around how school admins actually work: fewer steps, clearer grouping, and an interface that reads as calm and trustworthy without stripping out power-user features.
Audit and IA restructure
I mapped the legacy flows and regrouped every feature into hubs that match how a school is run, Overview, Academics, People, Finance, Settings, cutting navigation depth and pulling the most-used actions onto the landing view.
A visual system, not a reskin
I introduced a consistent type scale, spacing rhythm, and component library so every module reads as one product. Colour became functional, each hub carries its own header treatment, so you always know where you are.
After
The redesigned dashboard puts the day's work first and lets admins drill down only when they need to. It was delivered with a clickable prototype and handed to engineering ready to build.
Delivered
A complete redesign covering the overview, academics, exams, people and reporting modules, delivered as a design system plus a working prototype for stakeholder review.
